Introduction: Thank you for choosing to view my profile. I am a retired teacher and have taught piano for 44 years. I am a graduate of Indiana State University and hold a Masters in Education. I teach all genres of music. Many of my adult students love classical. I have taught ages 5 through 85. I always have the student choose a popular book of their interest since most want to play the music they love. Some of my students now play for church. I have had a few receive scholarships. Students will eventually have a lesson book, a religious book (if desired), a semi-classical book, and a popular book of their choice. My studio is in my home. It is a music room just for teaching piano. I do not travel to students' homes since I have several coming every hour and half hour. I have a concert grand piano on which students will learn. Once a year, in August, I give a recital. It is optional for the student to perform. I am very affordable since my goal when I started teaching was to allow everyone that desires to learn the piano to afford lessons. I charge $15/ 30 minute lesson or $30/ hour lesson weekly. I teach every weekday from 1:00 through 7:00 and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00. I would be honored to be your teacher or your child's teacher. I live 5 miles south of Louisville, next to Bernheim Forest. I use hand sanitizer on students’ hands after the lesson, and I disinfect the piano keys. I am 4 times vaccinated.
