We lived in Nigeria for 5 years and were looking for a professional Chess Tutor for our son who was ranked very high in our origin country. From the age of 8 and till he was 13 Mr. Campbell was his tutor. He also taught our two younger sons. Today our son is 19 years old and still plays chess during his free time! So do the other two kids! I'm sure it was Mr. Cambpell who gave all of them not only the knowledge and the know how, but also the passion to learn and develop in this beautiful and so important sport that develops their brains.

Candy Chess captured the interests of our young kiddos through play, songs, storytelling. He broke down each move into very simple steps our kiddos could relate with. Every chess experience got our kiddos wanting to play more at home. Candy chess also provided a platform where kiddos from other schools could play competitive chess in a fun way. Medals and plaques were awarded to deserving chess players. My son was one of his students. Today, he is in college and still plays chess albeit for fun with his college buddies. He says Playing chess has helped him strategize in real life situations.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer long-term contract packages (minimum of 3 months comprising at least 2 classes per week) so we can track, project and easily assess progress in your chess or scientific career. These packages attract discounts ranging from 10% to 25%. I am also open to monthly packages with 5% discount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our very first meeting would involve a detailed analysis of each client aimed at gathering background information needed to strategically design a customized curriculum. This analysis is free and would highlight areas of strength and weakness in approach/conceptualization and implementation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a master's degree in zoology with a minor in ecotoxicology and pollution management and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in biological sciences from Louisiana State University. I have also been playing chess for over 33 years now and represented Nigeria at various international events up to the world chess olympiad. I am a certified candidate master (courtesy world chess federation), national arbiter (courtesy Nigeria chess federation), and national master (courtesy US chess federation). I also hold a PMP certification from the project management institute.
