FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Sigfredo recently completed the Certified Green Professional class offered by the National Association of Home Builders and will soon be awarded the certification. Continuing education is important to us. It is essential to us to be aware of new technologies and techniques in construction to provide our customers with the best finished product that we can provide.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently completed quite a large addition project in Belle Chasse, La for a young couple with a lovely family of 4 small children. The scope of work for the project was to add a second story addition to a one story home. The family had a concern about the amount of time they would have to be out of their home and how soon they'd be back in the home. This weighed heavily on Sigfredo's heart since we have 5 young children of our own and after Hurricane Katrina we understand the challenges of being out of your home for a long period of time. The second story addition was quite a challenge to take on by itself but one that we knew we could accomplish. But how could we make this as easy as possible for the family? After all, it was a 6 month project. After careful consideration Sigfredo determined that he would complete this project without the family moving out of the house. As incredibly difficult as that may sound, he did it. It was not necessary for the family to spend a single night out of their home during the entire 6 month period it took to build their 2000 square foot addition! That's something we are proud to have accomplished successfully.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always verify that the general contractor you intend to hire is properly licensed and insured. You can contact the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contrators at (225)765-2301 or visit www.lslbc.louisiana.gov to verify proper licensing. You contractor should provide you with an insurance certificate, just call the insurance agent and verify that the policies are still effective and that your contractor carries proper insurance for the project that will be performed for you.
