Mark did a wonderful job repairing the floors in our townhouse. Unbeknownst to us, the floors we had installed prior were not installed correctly. Mark was able to remedy the problem in a timely and cost efficient manner.

UP-DATE 7 Oct 19 ... reduce 4 star rating to 3 star, because of this contractor's failure to correct poor workmanship which was found after he received my final payment. (My advice is for future customers to with hold at least 15% of the total job cost for at least six months, to ensure this contractor responds to their callbacks.) I still stand behind all my 10 Sept 19 comments below. This contractor does good tile work. Unfortunately, this contractor also has ignored my attempts to return and correct a failure. I have also contacted Thumbtack & reported this matter. The contractor has not responded to Thumbtack either. ... END OF 7 Oct 19 UP-Date) We would definitely recommend this tile specialist. He works alone most of the time, and worked six days a week on our project. He even worked over the Labor Day weekend. This tile specialist is an artist. There were several unique & challenging tile fits requiring special cuts. There was a minimum of “oops” cuts, or wasted tiles. In fact, the job required four cartons less of tiles, than originally estimated. The work required several days, and took about twice as long as estimated. However, the tile job was done correctly, and on budget, so the extra time was OK with us. The scope was approx. 800 sq ft (three rooms). We selected wood textured porcelain tile from Home Depot. One of the reasons we selected this contractor was he was comfortable working with Home Depot. (A few other contractors we contacted objected to working thru Home Depot) BTW this contractor did not submit the lowest cost estimate to do our project. He was selected for a number of reasons, primarily he seemed to be the one who thoroughly understood our work scope, and had solutions ready to address the several unique challenges associated with our job. The “as found” concrete floor was covered with adhesive from previous hardwood floor, with a few low areas. The leveling pour went well, and the tile was laid. (a few photos are included)
