FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have multiple packages available on our website. However, many events do not exactly fit one of our packages. With Thumbtack quotes we try to tailor a custom package for each quote we do. One thing many photo booth companies do that we do NOT do is quote a price for a really stripped down package, and then charge a lot extra to add in what most people want. For instance, many photo booth companies quote for only 2 photo strips for each session, then charge extra if the client wants their guests to be able to receive more copies. Many times groups of 3, 4, 5 or even more will take pictures together, and each person will want a copy of the print. So quoting a price based on only 2 strips is a way to charge extra money. At PicSure Perfect Photos, unlimited prints are ALWAYS included.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by having a conversation with the client. We find out all the details we can about their event and what they're looking for. Sometimes clients aren't sure what they want, so we provide all the information so they can make the best decision. If a client wants to meet in person, we're happy to meet them and discuss their event in person and provide examples of the photos and memory books that are available. We go over options and pricing, and let the client make the best decision for their event. Once a client makes a decision as to what they want, we provide them with the contract to read and sign. We get a deposit for half of the cost of the event, and we reserve that date for the client. We stay in touch with the client, and once the date gets closer, we find out exactly what they want in terms of the layout and wording for their prints. We strive for the client to know exactly what to expect from the moment they call us, to the moment we pack up and leave after their event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have both taken photography and Photoshop classes. Many booths contain point-and-shoot cameras or webcams, and are pre-built enclosed in boxes with a simple light source. Our booths use DSLR cameras, and we use strobe flashes and reflectors for the lighting. This type of setup allows for great quality photos, but it also requires some knowledge in camera settings and lighting. The Photoshop knowledge is helpful in designing and customizing layouts for the prints.
