Great experience. Wife and I were taking a trip for roughly a week and were in bed of a pretty sitting or boarding service for our two cats. They are both very independent and self reliant and so actually boarding them somewhere with 24/7 care such as a vet or pet hotel is a bit overkill. They also get very anxious traveling and being left in a strange place, so we were preferring to just have someone swing by every other day to make sure they have food and water. Enter Just Fur Pets and Shelby. She was able to do a few consultation within a few days of initially contacting her and arrived with notepad in hand to get the details of our pets requirements. She was super easy to work with and very accommodating. While our needs were very simple, she met them all with a very professional and personal manner, not only ensuring our cats were taken care of with physical needs such as food, water, and litter; but also with emotional and social contact, petting them and playing with them as they wanted. Her prices are also very reasonable and well worth the services rendered. She gave my wife and myself peace of mind that or pets would be cared for in whatever way was required, sending us updates on each of her visits as well as pictures of the cats. We will definitely be repeat customers for any future trips we take.

Shelby has taken care of my animals (2 dogs, 1 cat) before and I've always fully trusted her with them. She has a background of working at a vet's office. My babies love her and trust her to trim their nails (they don't let me lol). She's hardworking and dependable. I've never had any issues with her and I've known her for a long time now. She loves every animal with her whole heart and treats them as if they were her own. It’s obvious that animals truly are her passion.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $20 as my base for the first animals for clients that are under 10 miles away from my home, $5 dollars extra for each dog, and 2.50 extra for each cat, bird etc. per 30 minute visit. A $5 gas fee per visit is charged when a customer is 10-15 miles from my home. A $10 gas fee per visit is charged when a customer is 15-20 miles away from my home. Overnight stays in your home are $80 per night and are 12 hours long and the same fees apply that are mentioned above. You get a free consultationif you decide to book with me. Up to date Rabies vaccines for all pets are mandatory before the consultation can be scheduled.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I set up a date a time to meet the customer for a free consultation. This involves me going to their home, meeting them and their pets, and planning everything out for when they leave.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
2 years of working in a boarding facility and 1 year of doggie daycare. I have owned animals all of my life.
