- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each wedding ceremony package includes the following: Initial Consultation – I want you to feel totally comfortable hiring me and my services, which is why I offer a free, no-obligation consultation before you ever sign a contract. Typically, I conduct these initial consultations via phone, but if you would prefer to meet me in person somewhere near my home we can certainly do so. Planning Meeting – This meeting normally happens in person. I will ask you questions about what you feel is important to include in your ceremony and get to know the two of you and learn about your relationship. This information will help me write your ceremony to make sure it reflects your beliefs and personalities. If you are ready to proceed with hiring me, you will then sign your contract and pay the 50% deposit, we will then schedule a follow-up meeting. The Follow-Up Meeting – This meeting can also be considered the wedding rehearsal (in which I will direct), depending on how far in advance you decided to hire me. We will go over the details of your wedding from a technical standpoint and run over any questions or concerns you may have. The Ceremony – I'll arrive at your wedding early to help coordinate with your attendants and vendors and get ready for the processional. I am more than happy to work with other wedding professionals and am perfectly comfortable with photographers taking pictures anywhere they would like during the ceremony. I will deliver the exact ceremony you’ve discussed, and create a wonderful experience for you and your guests. The Marriage License – Although it’s your responsibility to get the marriage license before the wedding, I will take care of signing it afterward and filing it with the proper office. You’ll also get a copy of the license for you to keep, in case you need it for your records or on your honeymoon. You will also receive a copy of the wedding script as a memento to do with as you wish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've done many, many weddings (too many to count) over the last 15+ years. I'm an ordained minister and have been a pastor for 14 years.
