FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an avid dog lover, love all animals, but dogs have always lived in my home. My Mother was allergic to cats. I have trained many of my own dogs, but also a few of my clients dogs. There was one in particular that comes to mind. His name was Bullet, he was a huge 90lb pit bull who was unruly and had no leash training by the age of 2. I worked with him on a choke chain and a leash. He is now able to walk on leash, doesn't jump on people, and is house trained / crate trained.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was young, I lived in Long Beach, CA and my next door neighbors had a pet sitting and dog walking business. Long Beach had a dog park, and they would do the pet sitting and pick up the dogs and bring them to the dog park . Occasionally they would let me work with them, and I loved it. Now I am grown up and I have started my own business that shadows my neighbors from Long Beach, CA.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have been pet sitting and dog walking since I was a pre teen. I have personally watched dogs, cats, fish, snakes, birds, lizards, hermit crabs, and salt water fish. A few of my clients have me pick up their dogs twice a week to go to the dog park in Mandeville at Pelican Park to excersize and socialize. I have many clients that use my services everytime that they leave town or country.
