FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated at all. I charge a flat rate per hour for tutoring, and if a person struggles to meet that cost, I work with them. Education should be affordable, and tutoring should not only be for the wealthy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Of course a tutor always has to understand the latest educational standards, and ensure they teach those standards. Further, learning is a lifelong process, so continuing my own education is always going to be a priority.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
By accident, actually. I began in my early 20s as a babysitter, which went to full time, around the clock. I did not like what I saw-- children not getting the right care or a proper education. So I decided to make it my career, providing quality care for children and quality education. So what started out as helping friends, made me realize there was a need for quality male mentors/child care providers, and quality child care/children's education.
