Introduction: My guitar teaching stands out because of one reason. My students get the result they are looking for. They can play great! One of the features Of how I teach is to really give a student the practice skills to go home and be able to improve week by week. My favorite thing about teaching guitar is to take a student from a complete beginner, to intermediate or advanced level and watch them achieve all their goals. I also love working with students who are already playing and feel frustrated and quickly get them to the next playing level.

My 11 year old is taking lessons from Sid and is having a great experience. Sid uses my son's outside interests to relate to the guitar lessons. This helps my son understand what and why he is learning. I really appreciate how Sid breaks down the techniques when my son is stuck. I would recommend Sid for anyone who wants to learn the guitar at any age!!

Let me start off by saying I do not write reviews. I felt an obligation to share my experience. Sid is a professional teacher that is patient. I am a 42 year old man that was given a guitar and it has been sitting in the corner of my room unused for over 15 years. I glanced at it over the years watching the case collect dust and occasionally dry shirts. My fears with getting lessons all but diminished after meeting Sid. I have only gone twice, but have made the commitment to continue. Sid breaks it down starting with hand position which is so important. He takes notes throughout the session with my progress, and allows me to film a recap at the end of the session. This dude knows his stuff. If you are looking for a patient, super experienced teacher, then this is your guy. -Steve M.

I've been taking lessons w/ Sid for more than 5 yrs. I walked in as a beginner who only knew a few basic chords and basic rhythm. I can now play lead guitar solos and improv in any key. I'm now able to play in jam sessions and band type settings...you would think this requires hrs a day, but it did not. Sid is a good person who works with you in an encouraging, patient manner and tailors lessons and practice plans to your individual needs and goals. He only asks for around 20 mins of practice a day (and more only if you can). The key is that he teaches you exactly what to practice so that you learn effectively and efficiently. He also pays close attention to your progress and offers constructive criticism to help you continue to improve. Whether you're a beginner or a pro- you can't help getting better under his tutelage.

I picked up guitar on my own back in college. Progress was pretty quick at first but I always plateaued when songs/tabs I wanted to learn were beyond my ability. I'd play the same songs in the same ways for 6 months at a time until I inevitably got bored and put the guitar down for a while. With Sid, I’ve had the opportunity to be exposed to styles and techniques I never would have found on my own. He manages to break each down, regardless of the complication, into specific steps that are efficient to practice and quickly lead to cleaner play. I have made more progress in the past year with Sid than I made the prior three and, considering his experience and overall playing level, I expect to have the opportunity to learn from him indefinitely.
