John Lee Sanders is one of the greatest musician's that I have ever worked with. He is multi-talented - he sings, writes, plays keys, flute, sax and arranges music and much more! I don't know many people who are this talented. His harmonizing is also incredible! He is a real pro! You will always get an incredibly entertaining show when you hire him. You will not be disappointed, but blown away for sure! John Lee and I have written great songs together and he is also a genius music producer. His music is absolutely beautiful and very moving - the best of the best!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
After meeting Elvis Presley, at age 6, who lived a few doors down from my Aunt in Memphis. I realized that with hard work and dedication, I could achieve great things. I've been fortunate to work with many of my musical heroes, and they continue to inspire me. I received a BA in music from The University of North Texas, and the University of Northeast Louisiana University. I also studied Film scoring at San Jose State in California. I began my music career with Uncle Rainbow, the top Rock Jazz Funk band in Dallas Texas. We were signed to a very large budget recording recording contract with Rod Stewart's Riva Record. I signed a production contract with Narada Michael Walden, producer of Whitney Houston and Maria Carey. My first solo CD, world Blue was with a Blues label in Germany where I began touring for the last 23 years on the largest blues and Jazz festivals in Europe. in 2015, I won the German Music critics award for blues recording of the year.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Concert for the USA House of Representatives, at the Library of Congress in Washington, backing some of the most famous Songwriters in America, Heart, Randy Newman, Bill Withers, Jimmy Webb, Donald Fagan of Steely Dan, Stephen Schwartz, (Godspell) Paul Williams. I receive the music about one month in advance. Most of the songs were megahits, so it's easy. I play sax, keys, background and lead vocals and sometimes guitar on these concerts. It's a great honor and thrill to work with some of the greatest songwriters in the world, a great inspiration for me.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would hear the performer live to make sure it's the right choice for your event.
