Billy is our goto handyman for many small projects we cannot take on ourselves. Although he advertises as a handyman he has a great deal of construction experience and his list of skillsets reflect his experience. His hourly rate is fair. He is careful and not a threat working inside a home. We keep his number on the refrigerator. He's also a very nice guy, pleasant, and a good listener.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to be reasonable with my prices. Labor cost mainly plus whatever the material cost. If customer can get materials even better. If not I can still pick up or deliver.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I have a good grasp on the customer's problem, I explain the next steps with them. Tell them what needs to happen to find a solution and offer a time frame. Communicate if they need to complete any tasks or if you have everything you need to manage the process.
