I have an MA in English from LSU and made significant progress toward my PhD (only one semester of coursework remaining before dissertation work) before having to take a leave of absence due to a family emergency. I have taught 4 years of composition at LSU and tutored ESL and low-literacy students in college settings for an additional 4 years. I also have a technical background, having worked for 5 years in the nuclear industry prior to college, and have assisted multiple parties on legal, technical, and other official correspondence on a number of occasions. I have also published multiple articles and short stories and written advertising copy and web content for local realtors.
