FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will first ask to speak with the customer over the phone if they're available to. Then I'll let them give me a summary of their ideas and everything they want written on the design. From there I'll figure out if the design is able to be taken home or must be done on-site. On-site work is charged hourly. Take home projects start at a set rate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm completely self-taught. Constant day to day practice is how I achieved my level of skills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
While looking to land my first design job, I was shopping at rouses and noticed all the hand lettered signs around the store. I was very interested in doing this type of work, so I asked a store manager about how to get hired as an artist. Two weeks and a few interviews later, the job was mine. Everything pretty much snowballed from there to where I am today.
