Introduction: The Local Table is a woman-owned small business who employs a team of local, talented food service professionals. We have a solid base of experience and have two chefs currently enrolled in culinary school to enhance their skills, and, your selections. Our restaurant serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner so we can offer this full range of choices to our clients. Our formula is simple. We prepare meals with style that include seasonal and/or local ingredients whenever possible. Our catering menu(s) reflect what we believe works well for a crowd, but clients may select options from our restaurant menus or ask for custom choices. We greatly enjoy helping our clients create memories with events that are festive and/or honor others. We at The Local Table really like to create happy, stress-free and delicious events! We appreciate when clients swoon over our crab cake appetizers (house made) and roll their eyes to heaven after getting a bite of the brioche french toast, but we really like seeing the smiles of guests enjoying the company of others in a warm, convivial setting. That is the real gift we get back for what we do. We also like supporting community organizations and recently hosted a volunteer breakfast for the Acton Boxboro United Way. We are honored to give back and encourage other community and non-profit organizations to reach out to us for their event or meeting needs.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    We prepare a fresh variety of platters, appetizers and buffet style meals for delivery to your location, with or without staffing. We are an ideal choice for showers, memorial services and/or bar mitzvahs and offer a wide variety of salads, sandwiches and desserts. We can prepare food for between 25-150 guests. We host private parties for up to 50 people in the restaurant for showers, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, annual banquets and holiday celebrations. We have a selection of craft beers and wines by the glass.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    It is best when clients are able to present the type of event they are hosting, their desired food choices as well as their overall budget. I welcome the opportunity to meet a client's budget with a menu that fits the occasion which also has guests raving about the food! I recommend that clients look carefully at the cost and quality distinctions between a restaurant/caterer and alternatives such as the supermarket or a high end caterer. Supermarkets offer value, high end caterers offer distintion usually at a higher price, while a restaurant/caterer like The Local Table can usually offer the best of both - great food at a reasonable price.
