Micheline is great! She worked with my daughter for several months and the results are outstanding. My daughter is mastering her subjects and has a new level of confidence that will serve her well in the future. My child enjoyed her sessions and the results speak volumes about what she is capable of. We hired Micheline after my daughter took her initial SAT and ACT test as we felt she could do better with the input of an expert. After two months of consistent tutoring, my daughter again took the tests and her scores improved dramatically. She liked Micheline, and we were happy with her professionalism. Micheline is also very patient. When my son needed help with Spanish, we called Micheline. My son enjoyed & looked forward to his lessons, learned to love Spanish, and made a lot of progress. We would highly recommend her!

MIcheline had a lovely manner with our daughter but could have been more prepared. She was also very difficult to schedule tutoring sessions with.

Hi Elizabeth: I, too, enjoyed working with your daughter. I am sorry we had such difficulty finding a mutually-convenient time to meet, but I offered you the few times I had available and, 2 out of the 5 times you scheduled, you cancelled at the last-minute. I plan my lessons ahead of time, especially, since I also teach ACT-prep classes, so continuity is important to optimize tutoring. I hope your daughter has a wonderful, college experience! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While I have an hourly rate, most tutoring(especially for high school level and test prep)is based on 1.5 hour sessions,each, and I offer payment packages that allow the customer to buy a bulk of sessions for a slightly reduced per session cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I discuss the client's goals and assess strengths and weaknesses via simple tests, review of schoolwork and worksheets related to the subject in discussion. I, then, write down various steps that would be helpful in reaching said goal and re-evaluate after about 6 sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My colleague and I have combined, advanced backgrounds in all areas of English, Mathematics(Including AP & College), Biology,Chemistry, Physics, French, Spanish, Study & Organizational Skills, History, Neuro-psychology and Child Psychology and we have worked with other teachers and attended many workshops geared towards teaching approaches for children in both primary and secondary school.
