Mike did a great job. My garage roof was water damaged through three layers of roofing and the plywood. Repaired the whole thing and discovered another leak source on the house roof that he fixed as well. Intuituve, hard-working, professional. Great tradesman, great guy.

Mike is a good communicator and hard worker. When I searched through google to find local contractors in early September, I accidentally discovered ML Contracting, which has received many positive reviews. I called and left a message, Mike, the owner of the company, returned my call the same day and promised to come and looked at my projects. He came after a couple of days and we discussed what repairs need be done. He was friendly, polite, professional, and funny. After our discussion, I sent him the job list. Within a week, he wrote up a job proposal and we further discussed the little details through texting. He was always very responsive, even during evening hours. As soon as we finalized the job proposal/contract, things moved fast. Mike was very patient with me. I needed to order the doors from Home Depot. He offered to take me there to buy the doors, but after knowing that I preferred to order online, he kindly explained to me what doors (i.e., size, left-handed or right handed, in-swing or out-swing) need to be purchased. This might be very basic door knowledge for many people, but Mike's patience and understanding alleviated much of my stress and anxiety.After the jobs get started, I can see that Mike is a real hard worker and is meticulous about small details. He made sure that everything worked well and looked beautiful. He did most of the work himself. When he needed help, he had some of his crew come help him. They were also very friendly and pleasant to work with. In order to catch the sunny weather, Mike even worked on some Saturdays. Thanks to his diligence and hard work, all the jobs were completed within three weeks, just before the temperature dropped and the winter season started. Mike always cleaned up after work. My yard and garage looked clean after he completed all the jobs.Mike is also a good listener. He listened to my concerns and tried to come up with solutions to solve problems. He even gave me some good suggestions about how to repair my foundation, even though this was not part of his job. One day I found that my garage opener stopped working after they installed a new door next to the garage. This might have just been co-incidental and not their fault, since the new door installation shouldn't have touched the electric line of the opener. But after I pointed out the problem, Mike and Shannon fixed it the next day and made the opener look and work even better than before. All these little things and his attention to details make it a real pleasure to work with him. Thanks to Mike and his crew, our old house looks brand new now from outside. I will definitely hire ML Contracting again for my future jobs.Below is the timeline:Sept. 11: first contact through voicemail and textsSept. 15: Mike and Shannon came and looked at the jobsSept. 23: job proposal and contract finalizedSept. 25: deposit check mailed outOct. 7: work started with a thorough power-washing and paint scrapingOct. 27: last job done and contract completedJobs completed:-replaced three exterior doors and repaired/replaced rotten trims around them-installed a storm door at the front entrance-fixed some rotten window sills that were causing leaks into the house-power-washed the entire house, scraped chipped paint, primed exposed wood-painted the exterior of the house and garage-repaired holes in the wood siding and in the attic
