At Bob Peters Painting we place great emphasis on surface evaluation and high quality preparation. It's critical to evaluate how a surface will be prepped before any paint is put on it. Adhesion is one of the most important factors to consider before applying paint to any surface. For example, paint will not properly adhere to a glossy, dirty or chalky surface. When prepping a house for exterior painting, it is extremely important to carefully scrape any loose or peeling paint, then thoroughly sand these areas to bevel the edges of any existing paint to wood, in order to prevent pockets or gaps where moisture can collect. High quality preparation is the difference maker in any good paint job. I love going out on an estimate and meeting and talking with new people.
