Tino D’Agostino is an exceptional musician and a remarkable bass professor. From the beginning, he created a positive, structured learning environment and quickly identified what my son needed to improve. He balances fundamentals (timing, posture, finger/pick technique, tone) with songs and styles my son loves, which keeps him motivated and practicing. Tino explains concepts clearly, gives practical exercises, and always provides constructive feedback in a supportive way. The result has been a big jump in confidence and musicality—my son is playing better, more consistently, and with real enthusiasm. I highly recommend Tino to students of any level.

The teacher has a very professional and well-structured teaching system. Each lesson is clearly organized with specific goals and steady progression. In terms of bass technique, the instruction is detailed and thorough — from fundamental finger positioning and tone control to rhythm stability. The teacher also places strong emphasis on groove and musical understanding, helping the student not only learn how to play, but truly understand how to perform. The pace of each lesson is well balanced: attentive to detail while still encouraging independent thinking and musical expression. Under the teacher’s guidance, the student has shown clear improvement in rhythmic consistency, tone control, and overall musicality. A truly dedicated, knowledgeable, and responsible instructor.

Tino D’agostino is one of the best and most versatile Bass players i know and have played with. It is rare to have someone who is equally comfortable playing so many styles at such high level, being such a creative soloist and amazing group player. In addition Tino is very accomplished educator and conductor who has vast experience working with wide range of students. His professionalism and patience are remarkable and his musicianship is of the highest caliber. Maxim Lubarsky Associate Professor Berklee College of Music
