Hired on Thumbtack
Nate is going to build up his business very quickly, if he continues to make himself available to landlords like myself, the way he did! I’m a landlord who is constantly in and out of the state I live in. Nate’s communication through Thumbtack was awesome, he set expectations early in the process, quoted a price, and stuck with it. My tenant was impressed with the service while Nate replaced the garbage disposal. Here’s how easy this went… 1) I reached out to Nate when I realized my tenants garbage disposal had gone south. Got up on Home Depot and Lowe’s website, only to find that they were out of the Badger model. 2) Logged on to Amazon, ordered the garbage disposal to be delivered to my tenant, gave Nate my tenants phone number and address, next thing you know, I’m getting a note from Nate saying he made contact with my tenant, and the job is scheduled. 3) On that day, got a text from Nate telling me he was on his way… Just a short time later I got an email from Nate providing his Venmo account information and I paid him. I think I found a new way to handle all of my “to do‘s “at my rental properties. This was far too easy. If you are a property owner or just a homeowner, a couple quick texts and a transfer of money, and your project is done. Landlords, stop killing yourself trying to find a reliable person… The buck stops here. I’m going to say this because I’m getting a better understanding of how thumbtack works… Please understand that everyone you request an estimate from hast to pay Thumbtack a referral fee. These are small businessman… Base your decision on reviews and your first interaction with a person. In my opinion, there’s no need to ask five people for an estimate… Find one you’re comfortable with (likely Nate will be one of them) and give them the job. Don’t go crazy trying to save a few bucks and causing lots of contractors to have to pay for your referral that you know won’t be used. This is just my editorial opinion after hiring six or seven different contractors for different things on Thumbtack over the last three months.
Details: Yes, there is an existing disposal (which needs to be replaced). • Continuous feed (most common) • Yes, the garbage disposal will be provided
