We have had Mr. Kaplan since February, 2015 to teach French to our 11 year old son from the beginning level. My intention is to cover all material that a 1st year middle school teaches. He teaches my son one hour per week . He is a fabulous teacher, who teaches not just French pronunciation, but grammar and French culture. He always adds extra content that goes beyond the book. Now after 4-5 lessons, my son can count to 100 and conduct a simple conversation.

Phil is an excellent French teacher. He has an effective, engaging and adaptable style. He taught our 13 year old daughter a great deal in a short amount of time. He was a pleasure to work with.

PROFESSOR KAPLAN IS ONE GREAT TEACHER. HE HAS ONE GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR WHICH IS A DELIGHT. HE IS PATIENT WITH ALL OF US. HE DOES MANY DIFFERENT THINGS TO KEEP US INVOLVED. HE HAS US WRITE WHICH HE CORRECTS AND SENDS BACK THE E-MAIL.HE SOMEHOW IS ABLE TO COMBINE GRAMMAR AND THE little prince IN SUCH A WAY THAT WE HAVE A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE. I WAS A MATH TEACHER SO I KNOW A WONDERFUL TEACHER WHEN I MEET ONE. WE LEARN A GREAT DEAL AND HAVE FUN AT THE SAME TIME. PROFESSOR KAPLAN'S INTERMEDIATE FRENCH AT NEWTON NORTH HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL FOR MY CONVERSATION AND LISTENING SKILLS. I HAVE TAKEN HIS COURSE FOR FOUR TERMS.
