Introduction: Coaching and content development for artists of all stripes!
I help creative people get their work into the world. Maybe you're an aspiring author, hungry to write your first book, or a musician working to find your own authentic sound. Maybe you're a visual artist battling a creative block, or an entrepreneur trying to launch your blog.
If descriptions like these resonate with you, then we should talk. I am a professional educator with a master's degree from Harvard, certifications in yoga and mindfulness, and more than fifteen years of experience working with students and adults of all ages. I have personally supported hundreds of individuals on their educational and artistic journeys, and the programs I have led and consulted on have reached tens of thousands more. I live for designing and facilitating transformative educational initiatives and experiences.
I'm also a working artist. Over the past several years, in an effort to eliminate distraction from my life and rediscover my own sense of purpose, I’ve immersed myself in the realms of creativity, productivity, and human psychology, taking inspiration from thought-leaders like Carol Dweck and Robert Greene, musicians like Anaïs Mitchell and Justin Vernon, and writers like Ursula K. Le Guin and David Mitchell.
Since making this commitment, I’ve completed my master’s degree in education, published a novel, launched a blog, written several short stories, begun work on a second novel, and written almost two dozen songs, five of which I’m including on a forthcoming album. I've also completed my 200 HR certification in yoga teaching, and 100 HR certification in mediation and mindfulness.
I’m proud of what I’ve produced and accomplished. But I love the process even more. By engaging with art and creativity as a lifelong pursuit, and by finding mentors who have helped me make the most of everything I've learned, I’ve come to understand that art does not have to be solitary. My best work has come as the result of my work with great teachers.
That's what I offer my clients.
I believe failure is just a (terrible) synonym for learning, and I focus on building a strong relationship designed to cultivate trust, foster growth, and encourage a learning mindset. Becoming a great learner is the best investment you can make in your own life, and I want to share that fact with anyone who's willing to listen.
