Introduction: I am a licensed Makeup Artist. I went to Elizabeth Grady to get my license. I also attended the Glam-School hosted by MLR Artist Management and celebrity Makeup Artist Noel McKinnon. Each year I attend beauty conventions such as International Beauty Show, International Makeup Artist Trade Show and the Makeup Show hosted in New York City. I have also taken classes from reps of Jane Iredale Cosmetics, a skin care makeup line. It is very important for me to be constantly educated on upcoming trends and techniques. I love the variety of ranges makeup provides from costume makeup, editorial makeup, commercial and bridal makeup. I love making my clients feel beautiful! Ultimately it is my goal during each application to help guide them through the steps so they can try to do it at home. I share tips and tricks with clients. I want to share my knowledge and help them feel a confidence they didn't think they had. When my clients are happy I am twice as happy. Experimenting with colors and palletes is also a ton of fun because each face is different and my job is to enhance all of your natural, beautiful features.

Katherine went above and beyond what I could have expected! She applied makeup for a dance performance of mine. It lasted nearly twelve hours through a tech rehearsal and two performances. She was able to hear what I was looking for and execute it flawlessly. She helped me feel so incredibly beautiful and confident. Very talented and professional. I will definitely look to work with her again and recommend her to my friends and family.

Katherine did my makeup for a Halloween party I was throwing and it came out amazing!!!! I recieved so many compliments throughout the night with multiple people wanting to know where it had been done. She is a fantastic makeup artist fon an extremely reasonable price. She was very professional and kind making the whole session comfortable and fun. I would recommend her to anyone I know for various types of events. I will absolutely be using her in the future for other events!

Katherine did make up for me and my wife for a Halloween party. She did a great job and was very conscientious, as she ensured that all the details were just right. We rec’d numerous complements from other party attendees on our costumes/make up. In addition, Katherine was very profession, punctual and a pleasure to talk to you. Highly recommended and would hire her again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Special occassion: Makeup application: $65 Lash application: $10 Weddings: Brides: $75 Bridesmaids: $70 Lash Application: $10 + travel fees, hotel overnight accommodations depending on location and start time, tatoo coverups, etc. Fashion consulting: $20 an hr
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a consultation to understand who you are and your needs, regarding my services. I believe communication is key in delivering sucessfully.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Regarding makeup: I went to Elizabeth Grady for the Makeup Artistry program. Since then I have continued to take workshops to further my eduation. To name a few I took 3 workshops at Boston Photography Studio with local celebrity makeup artist, Noel McKinnon. I also took a workshop with IG celebrity makeup artist Carli Bybel, and the Kardashian's makeup artist, Hrush Achemyan. Each year I attend beauty conventions in NYC, such as Makeup Show, The International Beauty Show, and the International Makeup Artist Trade Show. Regarding Fashion Consulting: I went to school for Fashion Design. Once I received my associates degree, I knew I wanted to learn more about the industry. I went back to school for Fashion Merchandising and received my bachelors degree. I have worked and volunteered at Boston Fashion Week for many years. I am now a Technical Design Assistant for a fashion headquarters. My love for the fashion industry has only grown and I truly feel being a freelance makeup artist has only benefited my role in the fashion industry. I get the best of both worlds and I would love to share that with my clients.
