FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$50/hr with a minimum 30-minute class. Payment is required before class begins so that we can focus all our attention on studying.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I meet with a new client/student for a 30-minute complimentary meeting to speak in person, discuss my teaching style, talk about his/her needs and goals, and learning style. Basically, we just get to know a little about each other and see if we would be a good match. We meet in a public place, usually a pleasant cafe. I encourage people to think it over and respond by email or text, informing me of their decision within the next couple of days.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Spanish: I received a Master's degree in Spanish American Literature from Boston College, following studies in Spanish Literature at the University of Oklahoma, in its esteemed Modern Languages Department. I also completed history and culture classes at the Universidad de Guadalajara, in Guadalajara Mexico. I have taught Spanish for over 20 years at Boston College, Endicott College, Berlitz and Inlingua School of Languages. I was president of the Pan American Society of New England, and its Chief Editor, for over ten years.
