My daughter started to take violin classes with Egle in June when she was 4.5 years old. Egle can easily capture her interest to stay with her during the whole lesson. When she was distracted, she could easily redirect her to focus what was discussed. She is a detailed oriented person and she focuses on learning in a fun way, but also teaching her important techniques so that she started with good foundation. Olivia enjoys her violin classes so far 😊

Egle is just an amazing teacher. She is professional, and an amazing violin teacher with kids as little as 5 years old. She is extremely patient, flexible, and just a very methodical teacher that my daughter adores and looks up to. The progress with my daughter who just turned 6 years old is amazing in the last 6-7 months. I am happy to recommend Egle! Thanks

Egle is a fantastic musician, and a great teacher. She demands a lot from her students but is kind at the same time. She has taught my 16 year old son for 1.5 years and he has made great strides on violin and viola. She has helped him accomplish significant goals such as getting into Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Senior Districts, and All-States. Egle is meticulous with details of musicality, encouraging students to search for sound quality, a variety of colors and phrasing. I am a professional musician myself, and highly recommend Egle Jarkova as a teacher.

We love Jarkova Violin Studio. Egle is able to perfectly show on violin what she wants from student. She can imitate all errors that kids do and show the difference in sound and quality. That helps better than any words and instructions.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Lessons take place at my studio in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, MA. They are typically 45 min or 1hour long. For younger students (4 y/o) I suggest starting with 30 min lessons. I do welcome trial lesson to see if we are a good fit. Please message me for information about the prices.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I talk to a potential student about the goals and expectations. We have a trial lesson and see if it is a good fit to go forward. We have weekly, monthly and yearly schedule. I like to keep it consistent with minimal rescheduling for both myself and my customer.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Boston University - Master in Music, 2014 – 2016 The Boston Conservatory - Graduate Performance Diploma, 2014 The Boston Conservatory - Bachelor of Music, Summa Cum Laude, 2012 The United World College of the Adriatic - International Baccalaureate Diploma, Italy, 2007 – 2009 “Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste” - Diploma in Chamber Music, Italy, 2007–2009 National M.K.Ciurlionis Art School - Artistic Diploma, Vilnius, Lithuania, 2007
