FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It all depends on how many steps are involved and how much the materials cost. I offer a range of finishes: low, mid and high-end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to narrow down what the clients specifically wants so that I can get a better idea of what samples to bring, time frame, etc. I also like to meet with each client and see the space - kitchen, fireplace, walls, furniture or what ever they would like to have refinished so that I can put together an estimate. If they want to proceed with the project, I require a small deposit to hold a space on my calendar and then I email them a contract to sign and date and return to me with the deposit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend the International Decorative Artisan League's annual convention and try to take at least one to two workshops a year learning new wall or furniture finishes. There are always new products and techniques coming out all the time so it's important to stay current.
