FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everything is a fixed price, quoted before I start — no hourly billing, no surprise at the end. Individual returns start at $225; returns with a business, rental property or K-1s are quoted after a quick look at last year’s return. Monthly bookkeeping starts at $400. If you want a second opinion on a return someone else prepared, that review is free.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a short conversation about what you’ve got — your business, your situation, what went wrong last time if something did. Then I send a list of exactly what I need from you. You send it through a secure portal, not email. I prepare the work, walk you through it in plain English before anything is filed, and you sign electronically. After that, you have my direct contact for questions all year, not just in April.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m the Director of Finance for a $20 million construction company, and I run Skyline Bookkeeping alongside that. I hold an IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number, I’m an IRS-authorized e-file provider, and I’m a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. I’m currently sitting for the CPA exam. I carry professional liability and cyber insurance.
