I found Bob the Magic Guys website while searching for a 'walk around' magician to do some crowd work at my Wife surprise 35th birthday party. I wanted someone who could just mingle with the crowd & do slight of hand & card tricks amongst the small groups gathered around. Bob showed up 30 minutes early & after a few minutes prep worked the crowd as hoped for. Bob was a personable guy & all the tricks I witnessed were great. He stayed busy for about 3 hours as discussed. Would definitely hire again.Apr 16, 2018Bob The Magic Guy's reply
Thanks Andrew. It was my pleasure to provide the walk around magic for your party.
Bob was perfect for my event! His show "Magic for Smart People" was great for the MIT audience at the formal event. He was very easy to work with and customized his performance to meet our time and venue needs. He ended doing about a 30 minute stage show and then walked around the audience and performed additional tricks for groups of 2-3 people up close. The performance was a huge hit, and Bob even sent us a thank you card afterwards :) Highly redommendedDec 25, 2014Verified
Bob was early, well prepared, & involved the kids in our daughter's 6th birthday party. He mixed in jokes with the magic to keep everyone laughing. He did a great job, was very professional, and recommend him highly. A great addition to a birthday party!Jun 14, 2014Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I want to find out as much as possible about the occasion, the venue, the audience, the special person or guest. Then I can make adjustments to my performance to fit the occasion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Constantly. I am a member and officer of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. We meet monthly to improve our craft. I also meet monthly with the Society of American Magicians where I am a member and officer. I attend conferences where we have lectures. And there are so many books to read! The learning never ends - that's part of the fun.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?As a teenager I did a little magic, but nothing serious. In 2005 I became interested again and discovered two magic societies in my area and began an intense magic and mentalism learning program. I rented a small theater and began giving shows for family audiences.
