I'm a passionate chef with over fifteen years of experience working for some of the best chefs in California and Boston. I possess a broad base of experience in various cuisines including French, Japanese, South East Asian, Mediterranean and more. I’m confident I can bring an exemplary restaurant experience to your home. Under current circumstances many things we considered to be a staple in every day life have been altered and put on pause, but birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions will continue. I am dedicated to provide a delicious and safe experience, whether it be a no contact delivery or a carefully prepared meal in your home. I am Serv Safe certified and all food products are prepared in a heavily sanitized kitchen. Most groceries are purchased through a pick up only purveyor. Matt came to our AirBnb in Newport to cook a meal for my bachelorette party. We had so much fun hanging out while Matt cooked a delicious meal that included apps, entrees, sides, and dessert all for a great value (equal or less than a nice meal out!) Would absolutely book Matt again.

If you're looking for a private chef for a small event or dinner party, look no further than Matt. My husband and I hired him for our 12 person mico-wedding in October. It was a blast collaborating with him on the menu. He came up with creative and delicious options for our 5+ course testing menu. If you consider yourself a 'foodie' it's a treat to work with Chef Matt! We loved the experience so much, we've hired him again for an upcoming birthday dinner. As delicious and beautiful as his food is, he's equally professional and left our kitchen spotless. Looking forward to working with Chef Matt again!!

I require a 25% discount to secure the date. Refundable up to 10 days before the event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I begin working with a new customer I like to discuss the dietary restrictions and preferences of the client. Then we talk about the format of the meal and I customize a menu based on our conversation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been cooking for over fifteen years in some of the best restaurants in both Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston. Came in second on Food Network’s Chopped.
