FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is always upfront and based on the specific work your home needs. We don’t use flat one‑size‑fits‑all pricing—every project is evaluated individually so you’re only paying for what’s necessary. For many services, we offer access to state and utility incentives, financing options, and seasonal promotions when available. Any eligible discounts or rebates are reviewed with you before moving forward, and there are no hidden fees. We focus on clear communication, accurate estimates, and long‑term value so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by listening. When a new customer reaches out, we take time to understand your home, your concerns, and your goals. From there, we schedule an assessment or service visit with a qualified HomeWorks Energy specialist who evaluates your needs and answers any questions you may have. After the visit, we walk you through our findings, outline recommended options, and provide clear pricing so you can make an informed decision—no pressure. If you choose to move forward, we coordinate scheduling, handle any available incentives or financing options, and complete the work with a focus on quality, safety, and respect for your home. Our goal is a smooth, transparent experience from the first conversation through project completion and beyond.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team is made up of trained and certified energy specialists, technicians, and installers with hands‑on experience working in homes throughout Massachusetts. Many of our staff hold industry certifications, including BPI (Building Performance Institute) certifications, and receive ongoing training related to HVAC systems, energy efficiency, insulation, air sealing, and home safety. We stay current with best practices, state and utility program requirements, and evolving technologies through regular training and continuing education. This ensures our customers receive informed guidance, quality workmanship, and solutions that are aligned with today’s energy standards and home comfort needs.
