I hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband who loves live music. Sawyer did a wonderful job! He was responsive and patient with the planning. The live music was perfect for what we were looking for!

Sawyer provided wonderful music and vocals to our celebration. Although a solo performer he seemed like more than one! His music hit all the right notes and he adjusted based on the needs of the event (people arriving, food being served, mingling time, etc.) Sawyer was super easy to work with, very responsive, and helped me brainstorm what would be the best musical approach for the occasion. I was so happy to have him there, he helped create a happy and celebratory vibe!

A great choice for a special event! Although I've enjoyed several of Sawyer's performances, the best for me was when my son hired him to play for a special birthday party of mine. Sawyer played songs (many of which he'd written) he knew I liked and charmed the crowd with his music, which was appropriate for the age of the crowd and the circumstances. I appreciate his flexibility and love his talent! I'd recommend him highly for many different kinds of events.

Sawyer has a way with music that pulls you in and brings you along for the ride. I have hosted house concerts for him twice, most recently March 30 2019 and I cannot speak more highly of his ability to create a warm and welcoming musical world for my guests as he tailors the concert to his audience. I truly love his voice and the way his songwriting relates to our life experiences. His shows are not to be missed and one of a kind!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every event is different. Factors such as length, equipment requirements, geographic location, song requests etc. can all have an effect on pricing, so I will send you a custom quote once I get the basic info about the event you're planning.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After you contact me on Thumbtack, I will get back to you ASAP to answer your questions and gather some more information from you about the event. Once we've worked out the details, I will send you a booking agreement and request a 50% deposit to confirm the booking.
Then we can stay in touch leading up to the date of the event about things like song request, arrival time, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up playing in a family band with my dad and older siblings. We were performing out in town for as long as I can remember. II went on to minor in music at Bates College, but most of my relevant experience has been from playing in bands and performing solo throughout my life.
