About
My practice is devoted to all phases of divorce and post divorce proceedings, including divorce litigation, divorce mediation, modifications, contempt, custody and child support disputes/collection, education, health insurance and spousal support (alimony) as well as marital asset and debt allocation.
My firm's practice area is limited to family law and related services. We are seasoned divorce practitioners with over 25 years of experience in the Massachusetts probate and family courts. I work closely with my clients to help them understand the process and to gain a better advantage in the choices each client may face to achieve predictable and fair results in and out of the courtroom.

Rachel did a great job mediating my divorce and even tolerated dealing with my ex's extreme demands. She found a way to be impartial but still rational.

I just switched to Rachel several weeks ago after being with a very established large firm in Boston that had no direction in my case not to mention cost me thousands. Just in the initial phone call Rachel took the time to listen, ask poinient questions, and assure me that she could provide strong representation. Rachel is fearless, has a tremendous track record and is compassionate to the ever- changing emotions that coincides with divorce. She keeps you in the loop every-step of the way with kindness, clearity and detailed explanations. Rachel stream-lined a game plan that made me feel I was no longer on the "defense" and could confidently go on the "offense" in the best interest of my family. This is invaluable! Although we're still in the process as it is a very messy situation. Rachel's focus, determination and constant positive support has never waivered. She is the "life preserver" or "beacon of hope" that is guiding me though the complications and frustration of a toxic situation and a major life transition.

Rachel helped me with my divorce modification. She walked me through the process step by step. She was honest, insightful, and professional every step of the way. In fact I have been so impressed by her I have recommended her to my friends, whom would also highly recommend her.

Rachel was very patient in describing the due process of my divorce proceedings and staying on top of legal requirements. The process lasted about a year start to finish. She also handled an additional legal issue that wasn't her specialty with excellence! I highly recommend her!

Rachel helped me through a contested property division process. The division of property - occurring some 13 years after the divorce itself - was opposed by my ex, who wanted to disregard the Settlement Agreement. Rachel was wonderful in her grasp of the situation, in explaining the options available, and then guiding me through the Court proceeding itself. I cannot help but believe that if Rachel had been my original divorceattorney I would never have been in the situation I found myself in. Smarts, warmth, and a sense of humor and perspective - quite a winning combination!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always provide a 1 hour free initial consultation to discuss your matter in detail , lay out a "road map", including costs and possible outcomes and answer any questions you may have. Initial consultations can be done over the phone or in person at my office. I typically work with a retainer and deduct my fees monthly from the retainer against any time spent on your case. Un-used retainers are returned to the client. My pricing is competitive and transparent. I work hard to keep your costs down while providing the utmost attention.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically meet in person to gather necessary documents and discuss the foundation to obtain documents which you may not have. We discuss strategy and tone, expectations and goals. We spend time formulating a game plan that fits the budget and your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a licensed attorney in good standing since 1988. I went to Law School in New York, clerked for both state and federal judges, worked in the attorney generals' office, have taught various subjects to undergrads, had cases published as well as being certified as a mediator. My focus on family law, divorce, and post divorce proceedings dates back to the 1990's.
