We hired CPS to undergo a sensitive project at my mothers home. Our goal was to keep her feeling and living independently. The project required Jay and his subs to remodel the bathroom; from increasing the door size to installing a zero threshold shower. They also had to modify all the exterior steps for easier access. All while working around the daily needs of my mom. The communication and scheduling was a constant relief. And the level of trust and craftsmanship was refreshing!

We used CPS for a small job fixing our deck a few months ago. Since then we hired them for a second job of adding a one room addition to our home. We were extremely happy with the results. They were very communicative and respectful. They were a pleasure to work with.

Tim was one of two pros recommended, and he contacted me immediately on a Friday and made an appointment for Monday. When he was 1/2 hr. late I called him and he told me he didn't have my address. (But he had my phone number...?) He said he could come right then, so we met and I showed him the work to be done. He said he liked the house and would send an email with the quote that night or the next. When I hadn't heard by Friday, I called and he said 'I've been busy with other things', and said he'd get the estimate to me over the weekend. When Tuesday rolled around, I called and left a message. By this time, it was a matter of principle to get him on the phone, but got his voicemail and asked him to call. Still haven't heard back. Everything was positive during out first call and during his visit to my home, so why he's being so slippery here is a mystery but I think people should know. I thought the church logo gave him extra credibility but another lesson in not judging a book by the cover.

Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. Obviously some communication issues. Thumbtack offers multiple leads a day, which I respond to. When I ask a potential client for her address and she says "I will text it to you" and I don't get the text, I presume the client is not interested in hiring me. Sorry that you felt the need to post a negative review, but we never agreed on hiring me for the work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a personal phone conversation, a meeting is scheduled at the home of the client. Based upon the findings at the home meeting, the "rough estimate" process is initiated and produced within 24 hours. If the client wants to pursue the project, another meeting takes place to discuss specific line items and products. An estimate is then finalized and sent to the client for approval.
