J&T Roofing went above and beyond expectations for my roofing project.
My insurance company was cancelling my homeowners' insurance due to a roof that "looked worn." After contacting J&T, (1) he came and quoted the job within 2 days of being contacted; (2) he submitted the most competitive bid, about 15% lower than any of the other three contractors that had bid the job; (3) with the time pressure to get the roof replaced, he was able to move a job around to prioritize my job (granted: the supplies for his other job didn't come in on time, so that was good for him to be able to redirect his crew for the day!) (4) they completed a full shingle replacement of a wrap-around porch in a single day, about 1000 sq ft., and matched my existing shingles perfectly; (5) he was flexible: I already had a dumpster onsite for another project, so I contacted him to see if he'd subtract the cost of the dumpster from his bid since I already had one with lots of room. No problem! And that saved me hundreds of dollars on the overall cost of the job; (6) he was friendly and a pleasure to be around. After the job was finished and we met so I could pay the man, we ended up sitting out front and shooting the breeze together for a while. He's a really good guy, and I was impressed all around.
As I mentioned, I was having insurance issues, and Joe went way beyond my expectations to help me out. The day of the roof replacement, I was driving back home from out of state when my insurance company demanded a new roofing contract that showed the date the roof would be replaced in order to renew my insurance. I contacted Joe, and within the hour he had rewritten the contract adding the needed info, signed it, and texted it to me so I could submit it to the insurance company.
Upon receipt of the contract, the insurance company changed the criteria for reinstating my insurance; instead of just needing a signed and dated contract, which I had just provided to them, they now required photos of the newly reshingled roof. I contacted Joe while I was still on the road, and he returned to the job site and took multiple photos and texted them to me, so I was able to submit them to the insurance company while still en route. I thought he was still onsite when I asked for the photos (I wouldn't have asked otherwise) -- I only found out later that he traveled back to the site to take the photos for me. My insurance has been renewed!
I was hesitant at first to go with J&T Roofing because of the low number of reviews and that he's only been in business for a year. But it turns out, he's been working with his father forever and been in the business for years. Got to meet his father, too. Very warm and professional.
Because of Joe's timeliness, his professionalism, his quality of work and his competitive pricing, I can only say thank you. Thanks, Joe, for the great and timely job on my roof; and thanks for going well beyond what should be expected of any contractor by running around to fulfill the constantly changing requirements of my insurance company.
