About
LICENSED AND FULLY INSURED! Be careful hiring try unlicensed and uninsured plumbers in the state of Massachusetts to try and save a few bucks! Its not worth it in the long run.
Its such a rare thing in the trades to say you LOVE what you do! I didn’t fall into the plumbing industry because my father was a plumber. Instead, I chose it! I knew that plumbing is what i wanted to do with my life. This separates me from the competition because quality is set at a higher standard when you care about your work. I don’t just do it for a paycheck or because I have to do it to survive. I do it because I’m passionate about it, because it feels good when I have the ability and the know how to help people. Money is just the biproduct of my passion.

Rick was true life saver!! I hired him to remove my old dishwasher and he went above and beyond on helping to also remove a step blocking just enough of the dishwasher to be problematic. He was tidy and also very reponsive! I will definitely hire him again in the future for any plumbing and heating needs I may have.

Rick was professional and communicated very clearly throughout the process. He arrived on time and efficiently repaired the pipes causing the water leakage. He worked carefully and didn’t rush, taking the time needed to complete the job properly. My only concern was that the price felt quite high, which I wasn’t expecting. Since this was my first time hiring a plumber, the cost came as a surprise in the current economic climate.
Details: No, repair is not urgent • No, the building is not currently flooded • Leaking pipes • Burst pipes • Water heater • House

Working with Bowden plumbing and heating was a breeze and they will for sure be my go to resource moving forward. I had an emergent leak situation at a rental property and they were able to come over so quickly, address what was in their power to fix, and even gave me great advice for another issue that was outside of their remit, all for a very reasonable price. 10/10 would recommend

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We mostly charge a flat rate for any plumbing and heating repairs and installs. This way we dont charge by the hour regardless of how long it takes us, this is the price we commit to. This way there are no hidden fees, you know exactly what to expect when it comes time to pay the bill. This includes all labor, supplies, special tools, training & licensing, insurance, taxes, ect., all rolled into one cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers typically pay immediately following completion of the job. As our relationship develops and some trust is established immediate payments wont be necessary. This just protects me from getting burnt.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There is alot of schooling required by the state of Massachusetts in order to become a licensed plumber, 5yrs of it to be precise. Not to mention the 6hr State Exam that they make extemely hard to pass on purpose. Along with 12hrs/per year of continuing education.
Aside from the 5 years of schooling. Im OSHA certified, I also have my Hot Works Certificate and Asbestos Safety Training.
Beyond that we specialize in high efficiency boilers such as Navien and Buderus. Which involve weeks and weeks of rigorous training to become a specialist in this field.
