- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, every 5 years I submit over 75 CEU's that I will accumulate over that time period.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up spending the weekdays with my mother and weekends with my father. I love my mother very much, but during the weekdays I would eat pop-tarts for breakfast, salami and cheese for lunch, and an Irish based meal for dinner (minimal vegetables) followed by a sweet treat every night!!! At my dad's he would provide more nutritious balanced meals such as eggs with fruit in the morning, a turkey sandwich at lunch (no soda, only water), and a chicken stir-fry dish for dinner. Of course when I was young I missed my pop-tarts on weekends, but as a teenager I realized the difference I felt by the end of the weekend. I started reading about healthy nutrition and cooking more so that I was able to make healthy food choices no matter where I was. I love talking with people and what better way to do that on a daily basis and teach someone a new life skill!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I will often create a personalized meal plan for clients. I provide support and check-ins between visits.
