FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for plow work is structured based on the size of the driveway or parking lot, and is tier-based pricing based upon incremental snowfall. Standard driveways will most likely assume standard rates, but it is important that the property be viewed and specifics be discussed before quoting a final figure. All of my pricing is comparable to local family owned snow plowing companies, and most certainly on an affordable level for both the homeowner as well as the business owner.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with a new customer is a different experience every time. In order to gain an understanding of a customer's needs and manage expectations, I typically set up an introductory call to begin with. The call will help me to 1) establish a relationship with the homeowner or business owner and 2) understand the type of services they are looking for. If we find there is a fit, the next step is to setup a time for me to quickly scope the area which will be serviced. This will give both myself and the customer the opportunity to ask and answer any questions that may arise and also to discuss the smaller details such as snow placement, general area conditions, snowfall timing, contracting options, personal preferences, etc. It is a means of setting clear objectives and gaining confidence in the work that will be done. After establishing a game plan for when the storm hits and how service details will be communicated, I ensure that the customer is provided at least 2 means of contact should they need to be in touch with any special requests or last minute questions. It's important that my customers feel a true peace of mind before, during and after work has been done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been operating winter equipment for 8 years now, including plows, pickup trucks, dump trucks, sanders, snowblowers, handheld, etc. I have worked for mid-sized, family-owned companies, independent contractors and more recently have began independent operations myself.
