Vic has been a phenomenal chess coach. I have had four private lessons with Vic to date, and during that time have observed a sharp improvement in my gameplay. One of my goals in learning from Vic was to take a few games against my father, a long time player. In light of the lessons I have done, I was able to beat my father for the first time recently. In addition to Vic's invaluable insights, he is readily available outside of classes to provide learning material such as puzzles and books. Looking forward to my future progression as I continue my lessons!

Vic is a great guy and fantastic teacher. I played chess a bit when young and was away from it for decades. At least I still remembered the rules! For some reason, started playing again a month or so ago. In our first lesson he gave me several general tips I could apply to any game. And indeed they helped! Beat the computer at ELO 1600 without blunders and with a reasonable performance for a beginner by just following his systematic approach and advices. I also noticed a significant improvement with chess puzzles at lichess. My puzzle ELO is nearly above 1900! His group lessons are also great. We learn from each other and they are really fun!

My 6 year old son had his first chess lesson today, and it was such an excellent experience to watch happen. Vic is very engaging with the kids, and works very hard to accommodate everyone's learning styles. Vic also gives out stars which was the best part of my son's day. Needless to say, we've found our teacher.
