- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $50 per hour, which is standard for this area and my level of expertise, but for projects I generally provide a quote rather than hourly rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the client to gather design requirements/preferences, understand their target audience, and what the goals of the project are. I then provide (typically 3) different design sketches that meet the requirements. Once a direction is decided upon, I fine tune the design to the client's satisfaction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been designing for over 20 years, but there is always something new to learn. There are several design resources that I go to for inspiration and I am a huge fan of lynda.com - there are short 1-2 hour trainings and longer (several hours) in-depth training sessions.
