History
Established in 2009
My mission is:
To form partnerships with my patients and their physicians, to focus on creating true health, rather than suppressing symptoms, to stay true to the role of doctor as teacher.
Pia holds a master's degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest and one of the most prestigious colleges of Chinese medicine in the United States.
She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and is nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
She is also credentialed by both the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where she works on acupuncture research studies using fMRI and MEG technology.
Her past favorite experiences include:
* treating babies and young children with acupuncture at Boston Medical Center's pediatric intensive care and neonatal units
* caring for patients who would not otherwise be able to afford acupuncture at the Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, MA
* yoga teacher training at South Boston Yoga
* work on the tai chi research project at The Osher Institute of Harvard
