I have seen how my family and friends have scrambled last minute to find someone trustworthy to house sit their beloved pets, plants and home on short notice. It is stressful for all parties! Let’s fix that
I started house-sitting to relieve the stress on my friends and neighbors and to make some income on the side by pet sitting or doing daily check ins, collecting their mail, taking out the trash for garbage day, covering their outdoor furniture, receiving packages and more.
Years later, as a part time graduate student who is passionate about pets, I am professionalizing this operation on Cape Cod and the Boston Metro area to help my neighbors with the same struggles. I offer reliable housesitting, pet sitting, plant watering, mail collection, garbage duty and more to offer peace of mind while you are away from home.
Why me? As I am studying remotely to become a Fiduciary at Boston University, I am registered with the Federal Government and ERISA, and have a lot to lose that I cherish too much to put myself at risk by disrespecting your home, pets and possessions. I hope this offers peace of mind that as an ambitious young person I am trustworthy and looking for sustainable side income as I save up for my future and would not put that at risk.

Earlier this Summer I had to take an unplanned weekend trip, and started a stressful last minute search for sitting options for my very insecure dog who does not get along with others, so a kennel was out of the question. Browsing through various profiles, Miranda stood out as real dog lover and in person she clicked right away with my stubborn dog and figured out the basics at home with minimal instruction. I got regular updates over the weekend and was so relieved to have my plants being cared for at the same time, huge plus for this service in the area. True piece of mind!

Miranda is conscientious, courteous, and capable! I had to leave town on short notice for an extended period, and she helped with mail/package collection, plant watering, made sure all of my windows and doors were locked, and took in my outdoor furniture during heavy storms. She provided great peace of mind when I needed it most.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My neighbors knew me as a reliable young person in the apartment building. Once we gave it a test run, and it worked out they felt comfortable hiring me again and giving my name to the other dog owners in the building.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
An old colleague messaged me in a panic because their boarder closed with out warning. I was able to give them peace of mind while they left for vacation to pet sit their dog in Downtown Boston and spent a weekend walking their dog through Boston common and making sure he got the love and attention he needed while his owners could relax.
