Introduction: First, I would like to start off by telling you that I received an Associate's Degree from S.T.C.C. in Springfield, MA in Liberal Arts, studying everything from math to sciences, history, psychology, etc.
I then went on to graduate from Westfield State College with a BA in English/Literature, as well as taking all the required courses for Secondary Education, and passing the MTEL exam, the Massachusetts Teacher's Certification Exam. At Westfield, I studied every aspect of literature, including American and World Lit. and learned very much about the reading and comprehension of poems, short stories, novels, etc., I am very educated in writing short essays, long papers, creative writing, business writing: resumes, letters and memos, as well as In-Text Citations and Works Cited Pages.
I also have a certificate in Health Claims/Medical Coding and Billing, where I learned a lot about the computer and typing faster, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. We learned about the sciences having to do with the body, skeleton/bones, anatomy, biology and health.
I hope that given all of this information, you can honestly make a great tutor, whether it be over the computer with Skype, over the phone or in person. First and foremost, I make sure that all my students feel completely comfortable with me, and I make it a priority to get to know their personalities and adapt with them together. I want it to be easy for them to tell me everything that they are not understanding, and in detail, socan work together as a team.
I have a wonderful way of helping others grasp information that they just can't seem to understand for one reason or another. First, I like to figure out what it is about the subject area that is confusing to a student, and then I find many ways of slowly and carefully making sure they completely understand what we are covering. I will not let a student leave with any doubts in their head. I promise that no one will be unhappy with the outcome.
