Communication was probably the best I’ve had with any contractor. He was constantly keeping me updated, calling me to make sure things kept moving, and staying on top of every detail.
The biggest example was our stair lighting project. The fixtures I had originally purchased weren’t going to work, so rather than just telling me we needed to find something else, he immediately started problem-solving. He sent me different options, worked through how we could accomplish what I wanted while staying within code, and ultimately came up with a plan for a completely custom build. He even worked directly with the manufacturer to get the specs and details right before putting everything together. The finished product came out great.
He also worked incredibly hard. We had some substantial work being done, and he knocked it out in days rather than stretching it over weeks, including working late to keep things moving.
Most importantly, he’s just an awesome guy to work with—reliable, extremely communicative, helpful, and genuinely invested in getting the job done right. He didn’t just show up and install things; he took ownership, found solutions when we ran into problems, and made sure I was happy with the end result.
Great experience all around. I’d absolutely hire him again and would recommend him without hesitation.

Hired him to replace 2 light fixtures in an old plaster ceiling, he assured me he had the equipment to do it, and that no one would be able to see the gaps
One fixture has a giant, very visible gap that I had to cover with patching plaster in order to to get it to stop leaking bits of plaster
The other fell down about an hour after he left
He didn’t clean up the site at all, he just left a giant mess for me to deal with
That said, I haven’t replaced one of the fixtures yet, which is why I’m not giving him one star.
He said that he knew pretty quickly that there was going to be a problem with the installation, but he didn’t tell me until after he was finished and expecting payment.
