Integrative Bodywork & Massage w/ Patrick Crowley
About this pro
My 30 plus years of experience helps me stand out. I walk my talk as well. I am practicing self healing, being in a creative state, going into the parasympathetic relaxation response, and conditioning my body through Yoga, Qigong, somatics, dancing and running. People who meet me say, "To be doing this 30+ years, you must have started when you were 8." No, I just look, and more importantly act, youthful. I continue to study all the time: anatomy (I regular teach anatomy in yoga trainings and movement workshops), approaches on how to work, and how other fields of study integrate in massage and bodywork (emotional process, spiritual process, orthopedics, permaculture, dance, yoga, etc.). I watched a 4-part series on full knee replacement surgery the other day to help understand my knee surgery clients. I enjoy helping people. I enjoy going into the states I am asking my clients to go into. I see my work as education - through what my hands are doing, and the some images I give that guide people into their bodies. I enjoy when people rid themselves of injuries and stress that never come back! I enjoy the workout of giving massage/bodywork - I am doing my practice while doing it: lowering my center to be grounded, centering, opening myself as a channel for inner or outer wisdom to come in and help guide the process. I am quite creative

- What types of customers have you worked with?Neck and Shoulders are the most common complaints people have. I used special techniques to alleviate pain in these places. Certainly back pain is another common area: lower, middle, and/or upper. People also simply need to relax. I have extensively trained in body-mind methods that not only create relaxation but a state that feels like you have gone to another universe and back. Many say they have NEVER experienced something like a session with me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Research different people and different modalities to know who and what you want. Go with your gut about what feels right to you! Depth, training, experience, and wisdom are all important in choosing someone who will help with your body and your development.
