A long, long time ago, in a galaxy very close by, I was an attorney. I was always pretty good with logic, wrote well, and learned how to argue from having an older brother...but I had no idea what I was getting myself into. In fact, working as an attorney is just one of very many jobs I have worked since I was 16 when I worked at Blockbuster. Yes...Blockbuster.
Fast forward to my engagement, my wedding, my wife’s bump, and my daughter being born. They all had something in common: I paid someone to take photographs. Each time I thought, well I can do that, and it looks fun. I always liked photos, not necessarily having them taken of me, but the memories and the smiles when people saw them. I bought a DSLR camera, “a fancy schmanz” camera around 2014. My wife, Sherrie, bought me a few classes on basic photography that I enjoyed. It wasn’t really until Harper was born that I became passionate about photography. Then on a trip to Prince Edward Island, my father-in-law spotted two bald eagles perched on a tree right near our house rental. I ran to get my camera. The excitement was almost shocking.
I love wildlife photography, but the birds usually don’t smile when I send them their photo galleries. (or pay well).When I get to send a gallery to a family I feel the same excitement as when I spot an owl in the wild.
Being able to preserve moments in time for people is truly a gift for me just as much as it is for the families.

Jason did an amazing job taking pictures of my two boys (ages 5 and 7)! He was incredibly responsive, reasonably priced, and great with my kids...who were not very well-behaved on the day of our photo shoot. Jason got us our images SUPER quickly. I highly recommend him!!!

This review is long overdue but in October 2019 Jason photographed our Boston Brain Tumor Walk. He took amazing photos that really captured the essence and spirit of the day! He was extremely professional and easy to work with.

Jason worked on a client event for my company. It was a boat cruise around Boston Harbor. Even with the changes in natural lighting from day to night, Jay was able to capture exceptional photos! Very happy and look forward to him photographing our upcoming corporate gala!

Since the majority of our event photographers are working on a volunteer basis, their level of professionalism and quality of product can vary. Jason, however, made us feel valued, and he really listened to what shots were we looking for that today to best benefit our mission at the American Cancer Society. Bravo! I'd recommend him to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base rate for a photography session is $200 an hour.
That being said, all sessions and events are different, so please contact me if you like my style. I am sure we can work something out.
I pride myself on my flexibility and adaptability, and I like to have fun.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important part of working with someone new is figuring out what they want in their images and if we are a good fit.
Once a date, time, and location is determined, a invoice and contract will be sent digitally to reserve that slot.
Then the fun part!
