FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Over the past eight or ten years, I have seen coaching rates that ranged from $100-$10,000 an hour, and have personally paid different coaches between $200-800 an hour for their insights and guidance at different times. I generally price my time in the bottom quarter of that range, so that those who are most in need of my help can gain access to it. I’m not out to “get rich quick”, but I do expect to be fairly compensated for helping you to live the kind of life you’ve always deserved but may never have believed was possible for you, and I think that that’s fair for both of us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always begin with a conversation of shared discovery — either in person, online or over the phone — which serves as a jumping-off point, during which we’ll both get an intuitive sense of who the other person is, and whether or not you and I will feel comfortable committing to work together on an ongoing basis. I never charge a penny for this, because I don’t think it’s morally or ethically fair for me to ask or expect you to pay for something you can’t possibly evaluate, beforehand. (And frankly, I don’t want to work with just anyone who comes my way! Some folks, yes, but others, “not so much”.) Once we’ve had that chance to get a feel for one another, if we both agree that “this feels good”, I’ll offer you the choice of a couple of different paths that we can follow toward realizing some of your goals and dreams, then we’ll compare schedules and I’ll email you a coaching agreement and a copy of my privacy policy, so that we’re all on the same page and can begin to build on a solid foundation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training for coaching began in early childhood, as the son of a doctor and a pianist/music teacher, during which time I learned the immense senses of joy, satisfaction and personal accomplishment that come from helping others to grow, thrive and realize their dreams. More recently, in my trainings as a guided imagery facilitator (1979), Access Consciousness Bars Process practitioner/trainer (2011), both life coach and solution-focused coach (2014) and beyond, I have continued my journey of helping others in as many ways as I possibly can.
