Introduction: I am a licensed zumba fitness instructor providing group exercise classes and private and semiprivate dance fitness lessons. My time format is flexible: 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. My classes include 5- to 10-minute warm-up and cool-down routines using a fusion of static and moving stretches.
Zumba is dance fitness, not a dance per se. That said, I incorporate many dance styles, movement and global traditions ranging from salsa and merengue to hip-hop, jazz, folk dance, ballet, yoga and tai chi. I am excited to introduce students to a fun way of getting fit and learning about different cultures around the world.
