I first met Cheryl Wolf a couple of years ago, when she took over a power yoga class I was attending. Needless to say, I am still working with Cheryl. She is by far the best yogini I have ever had to pleasure to practice with. With her help, I have grown both physically and spiritually in ways I could not have imagined when I started my yoga journey with her. She has challenged me while at the same time creating a comfortable environment to advance at my own pace. Perhaps the strongest testimony I can provide is, with the exception of occasional work responsibilities, my putting Cheryl's classes at the top of my priority list. Rarely will I miss one. If you have the opportunity to work with Cheryl, I recommend you not pass it up.

Cheryl is an exceptional teacher who loves what she does. Her classes are always interesting, varied, and paced so students get results. I have had many yoga teachers. By far, Cheryl is the best trainer and educator I have had. She takes the time to explain what the breath and forms do for the body and why we should do them not just how. She is attentive to the wide range of strengths and challenges of each student and protects us from ourselves, reminding us not to push for 100% of each pose. When I started with Cheryl two years ago, I had a very bad back and very tight muscles. My strength, flexibility, and balance are vastly improved. I am very loyal to her classes because they are the reason for my improved well-being.

It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation for our Yoga Instructor at the YMCA, Cheryl Wolf. My first experience with Cheryl (as I was a complete novice to yoga) was that of warmth and immediate acceptance, no matter what level of practice (which for me, was at zero). She creates a nurturing, encouraging environment that allows everyone to grow at their own pace, in addition to inspiring each member to challenge themselves within their own practice. With the varying levels of expertise in the class, this effort could be daunting, but for Cheryl, it is comfortable and easy. I can truly say that no-one is left out, and everyone reaps the benefit of her instruction. Cheryl's teaching style is clear and meaningful, both in body and in spirit. Her well planned curriculum encompasses meditation, breathing, and yoga poses, where she is an active participant in all three. I have been to numerous other classes where this is not the case. In this way, Cheryl stands above all others and truly sets by example. Moreover, her message that yoga extends "off the mat" has been an inspiration to me personally and professionally. I am forever grateful for this powerful, profound message she has taught me, which is the true essence of yoga. I consider her a life mentor and an inspiration, and I give her my highest recommendation. Despina D.

Cheryl is an excellent yoga mentor. She starts off the yoga session at the YMCA with a slow pace, then picks up the levels of difficulty and then finally finishes off with some relaxation. She also takes some time to talk to each student before and after the the yoga sessions. Her yoga sessions are relaxing, challenging and invigorating. I like the background music which she plays during these yoga lessons. These are the same reasons why her yoga sessions are always interesting to attend. Plus she does keep a watch on every student to ensure their safety, comfort levels and correct posture. Her yoga sessions offers both stress relief and a refreshing workout. During the yoga session - there is a moment of Thanking at the start and end of the yoga session. The yoga lesson helps with stress relief and provides a full body workout. The yoga poses are ideal for people with back aches or posture problems. It helps strengthen the core muscles and body flexibility. I strongly recommend Cheryl as your future yoga guru.

Cheryl's impact on my life has been both pivotal and immeasurable. She is a fantastic practitioner, who conveys her love, her being into each and every class that she guides. Her ability to help one self-navigate their practice is both unique and unmatched. Her classes are always exceptional and her encouragement challenges me to push myself, physically and mentally, into new postures and new states of thinking and acceptance. As an athlete, and instructor, and trainer, I find her classes rigorous, dynamic, and well-paced. Her knowledge, modifications, and gentleness have allowed me to continue my practice despite health issues that make it physically difficult to move. Cheryl's unrestrained investment in her practice and her students has helped me find peace on and off of my mat. Her support and guidance has allowed me to turn inward and seek answers to difficult questions that are perplexing, trivial, and crucial for my development as yogini, a woman, a friend. She has been a mentor to me; a friend, a mother, and I could not be more grateful for her presence in my life. I would recommend Cheryl's practice to anyone and everyone, those suffering physically, emotionally, mentally, because there is always something to be found.
