I’m redecorating three rooms and needed help choosing rug sizes, styles, and colors and paint colors. Sally came to my house was a great help! She is so down to earth and pleasant, and got right to work. She had no problem with my desire to keep the cost down and suggested how I could paint my coffee and end tables to give them new life, which I plan to do. My penchant for checking Facebook marketplace and Craigslist before buying something new didn’t faze her at all! She was here only an hour and forty five minutes and got me set on the right track. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My flat fee of $500 gives you a paint palette for an average four bedroom house. Additional time is available at $200/hr.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a quick phone chat about your goals and vision, we schedule a time to meet at your home to choose paint colors. I will keep track of the colors and email you a complete list of our choices. I offer Benjamin Moore, Farrow and Ball and C2 colors.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an Associate in Graphic Design from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and a Certificate of Interior Design from the North Shore Community College. My career path has taken me from Canada to the UK and Europe, and finally to the beautiful North Shore of Boston. I have been a DIYer all my life, working on interiors, sewing window treatments, painting, faux finishing, refinishing furniture and more. I have a strong respect for authentic materials and quality workmanship.
