I interviewed three concrete painters for a small job staining the floor in one room, a couple of small slabs, and removing paint then staining our farmer’s porch. Ruben’s estimate was slightly higher than the other two companies. It was clear that he was experienced with concrete and would be doing the work himself. The other two companies sent me a salesman in a suit who I didn’t feel really understood what I was looking for. Boy did I make the right decision hiring Ruben! He has high standards for his work and will not leave the job until it meets his high standards (higher than mine since I do not know that much about concrete). Our project turned out to be more difficult than we expected but Ruben always had a smile on his face and worked diligently through the adversity. So refreshing to have a true craftsman to do the work with integrity and perseverance.
